Securities Mediation

Dr. Benade is certified by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) to conduct securities mediations. His many years as a securities arbitrator enable him to offer a strong evaluative approach to assist parties in reaching a reasonable settlement. As a panelist and panel chairperson on cases involving a wide variety of different issues, he is intimately familiar with the way public and industry arbitrators determine the value of claims. This experience is invaluable in helping the parties evaluate the strengths and weaknesses in their respective cases. His qualifications as a securities mediator are further strengthened by an in-depth knowledge of the markets derived from past years of experience as a private investor, actively trading stocks, bonds, futures, and options for his own accounts, and as a consultant to individual investors on trading strategies.

Securities Arbitration

Dr. Benade serves on the Board of Arbitrators for FINRA and is included in their select Chairperson list. He also serves as an arbitrator for the National Futures Association (NFA).

Superior and District Court Mediation

Dr. Benade is cerified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct Superior Civil Court mediations and matters before the Clerk of Court, including Estates and Guardianships. He is also a Certified Mediator, U. S. District Court, Western District of North Carolina and has experience with District Court mediations, divorce, custody, and equitable distributions.

Workers' Compensation Mediation

Dr. Benade is certified by the North Carolina Industrial Commission to conduct workers' comp mediations.

Training, Presentations

Dr. Benade has provided training to groups and individuals in conflict resolution and mediation techniques, and is available for speaking engagements on a variety of aspects of alternative dispute resolution.
